I belong to the zoo
Andi is 29 today. Twenty nine years young. I say young because, well, I feel young, and because some weeks ago I was talking to the Duque, and I said something about my adult life and he basically laughed in my face saying I wasn't an adult yet! Not even because I was 28 (at which age he had been married 7 years and had two kids), or even because I've lived away from home for a decade, been married four years and am going to be a mother! Gee... thanks, dad!
But I imagine this is just how it is, and how it will be. We'll always be our parents' little kids in some form or another. Like my mother-in-law, who still asks if her son brushed his teeth. Right, like I would have married someone who didn't brush his teeth. Anyway...
So, yeah, I'm old(er) and I like to think a little bit wiser. Just a little bit. A bit is fine with me.

My mother is forever stuck in her role as mother. She always asks me if I've locked the car, the house or whatever has the potential to be locked. And the list is endless. But she does it I think out of love and therefore I try to smile.
I'm guilty of being the mom stuck in that role...ha,ha! But yes the list is endless at times. I understood my own mother more as my kids came along. Now, mother-in-laws...different breed altogether! Oh, I hope I'm a good one at some point!!
